Inaugural Summer Camp Music Fest
The first Summer Camp Music Fest and BBQ certainly blew away expectations and was a complete success. Everyone seemed to have a wonderful time and I hope the BBQ was up to expectations. I really appreciate all the help and support that made this first event and trial run a success. With specific shout outs to John Pozo and Andrew Rich for helping me setup to Mike Adkins and Matt Sills running a few errands for me, to Marc Percy helping finish the cooking and pulling the pork, after I managed to cut my thumb. Without their support this event would have been a lot more difficult if not a failure. Two other shout outs to Rhen Cahoe https://linktr.ee/OfficialRPR for assisting with the sound and fixing issues while I was busy and Kara Wroblewski from Happy Place Tie Dye https://www.happyplacetiedye.com for providing a canopy. Two other shoutouts to David Tendall as medic plus he and Amelia helped build and manage the camp fire. Finally thanks to all who brought excellent food especially Dani and Daniella for the wonderful tacos.
While I would love to live in that moment, I want to reiterate that the next one promises to be an even bigger and better event now that most of the kinks are worked out. Not to mention that we have the incredibly talented band the Addhawks https://linktr.ee/theaddhawks coming to provide some great music. As a side note this will be a birthday celebration for several of us so if you plan on coming plan on helping us celebrate a few birthdays.
If you have any pictures from the first event please post them in the comment section and I will try to add them to this blog post or a photo gallery. I was so busy hosting and slicing my thumb that I did not stay on top of things to get photos or do half of the things I intended to do.
To all of those planning on coming to the next or future events please review the rules, remember this is about community and having fun, and that this is and will continue to be a family friendly event. If you have something you want to promote please leave it in the comment section and also bring business cards. I want everybody to support everybody at these events.
